Roof Overhang Property Line

A rake is an overhang located on the gable end of your roof.

A gutter overhanging many feet up in the air may be considered by the court as a trivial trespass. Cornices eaves gutters or other projections from a building or structure may project not over three feet into a required yard but may not extend closer than one foot to any lot line. But there doesn t appear to have any flashing beneath the guttering it simply ends and makes me wonder if only mastic beading was used.
